Aquatics at Vidant Wellness Center

 Exercise in the pool uses the water properties of buoyancy, resistance and turbulence to stretch and strengthen muscles, increase cardiovascular health, tone and trim, and have fun. All ages can participate successfully in water exercise. Regular aquatic exercise can lead to gains in cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength.

Many people unable to exercise on land are able to exercise successfully in the water.  Water buoyancy holds most of the body weight, enabling movement without excess impact on body joints.

Vidant Wellness Centers offer a variety of aquatic exercise classes as well as group and individual swim lessons at their indoor pools. Use the menu at left to find out more about what's offered at each location.
